It can only reach the speed of about 20M, and sometimes it even falls below 10M. This online experience is really painful. The laptop can use the internet cable, but what about the mobile phone? So we are ready to start a router that supports 5G. Then I fell in love with K2P, which has a good configuration and high playability. The key is free.
After routing, I went to Enshan to watch the tutorial and brushed openwrt. The official version of firmware was not connected to the network at all. However, openwrt is not easy to use, and there are some bugs. After that, they also changed some firmware one after another. The official version and Laomaozi version were all brushed. Finally, it took a while to brush the official version. But I always feel uncomfortable. After all, with such strong hardware, I can't do something like online behavior management?
Then I went up Enshan Mountain for several rounds and finally found Gao Ke. I saw his introduction that his main flow control had attracted my attention. However, I didn't really care about the flow control that Gao Ke publicized. At first, I started the post with the intention of watching the excitement. Because I have been exposed to many behavior management devices in my work, such as Netcom and Shenxinfu. There are so many behavior management devices on the shelves, so my idea at that time was: Gao Ke? Never heard of it.
However, after reading the introduction of the post, I have a feeling that Gao Ke has made it really like an enterprise. I feel that the firmware modified by many people for openwrt is just a household device. Although some functions of these firmware are really practical, such as advertising, yoghurt, etc., are these things that a router should do?
Then I started to use Gaoke's firmware with the mentality of playing for a while, and I felt it was good to use it, so it has been used so far.
Let's talk about the firmware:
1、 Setup Wizard
In fact, there is nothing to say about this. There are many routes. Gao Ke has created an expert mode and a Xiaobai mode, which is very friendly. I tried the expert mode and found it very convenient, but the habit of launching the device was to configure it by myself.
2、 System overview
In fact, there is not much to say about this. Everyone has it. But I don't know how other families are doing with proportion statistics.
Gao Ke has done application recognition, which is OK after observation. Of course, when there is no recognition, let alone Gao Ke, this problem also exists, such as convinced and Netcom. This is a question of how comprehensive the application feature library is. No discussion here
In the application of feature library, Gao Ke naturally needs to improve. After talking with Gao Ke's Shugong, we can see that Gao Ke is really trying to do this function. I personally agree with Gao Ke on this point.
3、 Basic network settings
Everyone must have DHCP. Gao Ke has a DHCP server detection function, which can detect whether there are other DHCP servers in the LAN. However, I have never encountered a scenario that requires this function.
Then there is the DNS proxy. Gao Ke can forcibly proxy DNS. This function may be useless, but it is actually a very useful function in the enterprise environment.
Here's a chestnut 🌰： The company is in a multi line environment. One telecommunication line and one unicom line. If the PC below is set with the DNS of China Telecom, when instant data goes from the line of China Unicom, the IP of China Unicom is used to request DNS. In this case, the DNS of the operator will not respond. So this function is actually useful in many cases.
Then there is the DDNS dynamic domain name resolution, not to mention the diagram, but the list.
Static routing is also needless to say. Are there any routers that cannot write routes?
4、 Wireless
In fact, there is nothing to say about this. After changing the route, I can finally run full 50M bandwidth. In addition, Gaoke's new firmware supports 802.11R.
5、 Multiline
Policy routing, source address, destination address, source port, destination port, is just this logic, which can be used for policy routing.
Multi dial: This is not too much to say. The correct use posture is to disable physical port dialing and virtual port concurrent dialing.
6、 Flow control
In fact, it's hard for me to comment on this, because my broadband is only used by myself, so I can't do the test. It's estimated that I will have to go back to my hometown to do this test. However, it can be seen that Gao Ke has made default flow control rules, as long as you fill in your bandwidth.
Gaoke's flow control can limit bandwidth, reserve bandwidth and other flow control strategies for a certain application (class). This is obviously much more powerful than many home level routing. Home devices have flow control only with one switch, which can be enabled or disabled. Sometimes it even has the opposite effect.
Because there are not many devices, the flow control only has some simple speed limit tests, which can limit the speed of certain APP. However, this configuration is troublesome. Although there is a built-in application feature library when selecting an application, you cannot directly select the classification of the library, a single application. Instead, you should first define a group for the application you want to flow control, and then select the group. This is also true for port restrictions. When some professional equipment is put on the shelves, you can directly select an application or a group.
7、 Behavior management and firewall
With simple behavior management and firewall functions, it can implement policies such as prohibiting access to certain websites (website filtering is invalid for https), prohibiting p2p, and prohibiting games. However, you cannot directly select a group to identify the library. You need to define a group first. Then select this group. In this section, we can directly select groups with built-in rule base, or select single or multiple groups. There are preset options such as applications that affect work efficiency and applications with security risks. After checking, the corresponding APP will be automatically added. The firewall is a traditional wall, which can only be restricted for IP and ports.
However, Gao Ke's behavior management provides the option of one click control, which is very friendly
The other is audit. Gao Ke can audit the web page access record at present, but can only record the http access record. And there are some bugs in this part.
By the way, our devices can record web page titles and even enable content recording. Think about whether it is terrible. In addition, the devices of Suntrust can audit https.
8、 PPPoE server
Gaoke can be used as a pppoe authentication server, which is very beautiful and suitable for landlords who rent houses to use broadband for tenants. You can set the expiration time. It can also bind IP and MAC to facilitate flow control.
9、 VPN
It can provide external pptp and l2tp VPN access as well as pptp and l2tp VPN access. IPSec VPN can be used to support barbaric mode penetration (active mode)
10、 Marketing certification
It can be used for WeChat authentication, suitable for stores and other scenarios, and supports functions such as jumping out of advertisements after authentication.
11、 Advanced Features
As mentioned earlier, multiple lines can be used. Here, the original LAN port of the router can be set as a WAN port, so that multiple lines can be used, such as multiple operator access. The UPNP function test is normal. In the early days, there was a bug in the UPNP function, and only one client was allowed. Later updates solved the bug. The xbox test network type is open. Here we mention the network wake-up function, which can wake up intranet servers, NAS, etc. Those who need it naturally know how good this function is. Unfortunately, my laptop does not support Wake On Network.
12、 Others

Regular restart is also supported. In addition, Gaoke supports cloud management (WeChat can be bound), and you don't need to have a public IP address. However, I didn't use the cloud management function. Anyway, I have a public IP 23333.
summary
Gao Ke still does a good job. A route has all the functions it should have. Of course, there are still many shortcomings. For example, only one DDNS can be set, and not multiple routes can be set. But we can see that Gao Ke is working hard.
The most important thing about routing is stability. The reason for choosing to use Gaoke firmware is that it is stable. Previously, using openwrt would cause problems such as suspended animation. The background can access everything, but cannot access the Internet. However, we have not encountered this problem since we used Gaoke's firmware for a period of time.
