Linux VPS Forgot PhpMyAdmin (MySql) Password Resolution Tutorial

Of course, there will be careless webmasters who will simply record the VPS account information after the Linux VPS environment is set up. They may not store the VPS account information carefully, leading to the loss of account information. We can reset the ROOT password from the VPS business panel, but how can we retrieve the phpmyadmin password? Lao Zuo also encountered such a thing. I didn't lose my account information, but because my account information was archived at home, I didn't bring it with me when I needed to use it in the company. So I used the method of resetting the MySQL root password to retrieve it.

Step 1: Stop the current VPS MYSQL service

/etc/init.d/mysql stop

Step 2: Skip verification and start MySQL

/usr/local/mysql/bin/mysqld_safe --skip-grant-tables >/dev/null 2>&1 &

Step 3: Prepare to reset the new password

/usr/local/mysql/bin/mysql -u root mysql

Update user set password=Password ('new password ') where User='root';

flush privileges;

exit;

Step 4: Restart MYSQL

killall mysqld

/etc/init.d/mysql start

 Reset MySQL password
