Obsidian should be a common and excellent local note taking tool. Of course, the free version of this tool is sufficient for personal use. I used to use Typora document note tool. If we don't have a budget, its practical Obstian tool is also very easy to use. For Obsidian free users, we can store documents locally, which is not convenient for cross platform or document saving. In fact, we can use Amazon Cloud S3 cloud storage to synchronize the content of Obsidian documents.
We should know that Amazon Cloud S3 Cloud Storage has 5G of storage space for new registered users and is free of charge. If we need to use it, we should know that Amazon Cloud's reputation and stability, including brand advantages, are very obvious and advantageous. In this article, we will try to record the process of Amazon Cloud S3 synchronizing the notes of the Observer.
First, Amazon Cloud S3 storage settings

If we do not have an Amazon cloud account, we can register " Register Amazon Cloud 」。 At present, it supports the binding of credit cards and debit cards and is free of charge. New customers have 5G storage S3 space for free for one year, which is sufficient for most businesses.

We need to create a bucket in advance to store the private storage space to be set up later.

We set the read/write permission in advance, and sometimes we need to show it publicly. If you do not release the picture, it will not be visible from the outside. Of course, we will also check whether we have permission later.

Check the encryption method. It is sufficient by default. Then we create buckets.

I originally planned to create a separate folder here to store the content of the OBSIDIAN notes, but it seems that in the future, separate folders are not supported, and can only be located in the root directory. After we create the folder, we also need to check the permissions.

Because we have given permission before, there is no problem here. If we have not given permission before, we can also set it here.

Then we also need to obtain security credentials.

To obtain the access key, two key documents are recorded.

Second, the installation and configuration of obsidian notes

Here we can download and install from the OBSIDIAN( https://obsidian.md/download )。

We can directly select the simplified Chinese language, and then directly click Quick Start.

We need to register an account first, and the mailbox can be activated for verification when registering.

As shown in the figure above, we need to go to the third-party plug-in menu to see the Close Security Mode.

After you see the [Browse] button, go to the market plug-in to search.

Search [Remotely Save], which is a plug-in that supports no less than offshore cloud storage.

It can be installed directly. The default setting is.

Then go back to the third-party plug-in, see Remotely Save, and click the button to set.

Select S3 service for remote service.

Here we fill in according to our Amazon Cloud S3 storage space information.
For information on endpoints, we can refer to here: Amazon Simple Storage Service endpoints and quotas
For example, my service address is: s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com, It varies according to different regions.

After filling in the form, we need to check and see that it is correct before we can use it.

Here we can synchronize to S3 by clicking the synchronization button on the left after Obsidian writes notes.

Then we go back to the S3 storage space and see that the notes have been synchronized.
In this way, if we can use Amazon Cloud S3 as content storage for one year for free when using Obsidian notes, we will not worry about local system failures or cross platform synchronization can be directly saved, and the stability of Amazon Cloud is not too questionable.
