Linode VPS hosts use the IP Swap function to quickly switch and change IP addresses

I was also in“ Several methods and ideas about Linode VPS host IP blocking and IP replacement "It was mentioned in the article that if our server configuration environment is not so important, we can actually delete and restart new servers and new IP addresses, which is also their customer service suggestion.

However, sometimes it is not easy for us to configure the environment. If it is troublesome to delete, restart and configure the environment again, we can use the merchant's own IP Swap function to switch IP addresses.

First, preparations

1. Default server IP address: 111.111.111.111

Lao Zuo uses this server as an example. The IP address of this server is not available. We need to replace it.

2. There is a new server

When we open a new server, we need to ensure that the IP address of the server is connected and must be in the same machine room as the one that needs to be replaced. What we need to use is to change the available IP address to the one above that needs to be switched.

3. Backup data

If our data is particularly important, we will back up the data on the default server in advance.

Second, the process of changing the IP address

Here we go to our default server Remote Access and see the IP Swap button.

Then select the available IP address servers we have prepared.

Here we need to check and then switch to DO IT.

Finally, we need to restart the default server. We can see that the new IP address has been applied to the default server. In this way, we can change the sealed IP address to the server added before and after, just delete the server. The original default server data is still the original, and the IP is our new setting.

So we passed IP SWAP This method can replace the existing default server with a new IP address without affecting the data.
