From leather gaskets for the first hydroelectric power plants to modern sealing solutions. This is the evolution of CARCO – PRP in more than a century of history, producing dynamic gaskets for every diameter, both for rotating and alternating movements, in reinforced elastomers and thermoplastic polymers. We have always paid the utmost attention to quality, as we devote ourselves to critical applications, which do not allow errors.

CARCO - PRP

Today CARCO – PRP is part of a group of companies specialized in the design and manufacture of gaskets, with more than 800 people and with production sites in Italy, USA and Canada.
We offer our products through a global network of CARCO – PRP sales offices and authorized distributors.

Speed

Short delivery time is part of our image, even in the case of large seals for forging presses or giant wind towers or ceramic presses. We are proud to ship a very high percentage of orders on time.

Competence

We specialize in a wide variety of applications; To satisfy the customer it is necessary to know in detail the machinery in which our gaskets are mounted. Our technical department specifies the most suitable profile and material to achieve the best seal performance and avoid expensive machine stops. Our technical support includes metal parts definition, lubrication system and future maintenance.

Production

We have one of the largest presses in the world for the vulcanization of reinforced elastomer seals (3 meters); a long series of presses covers the entire dimensional range. The thermoplastic processing department has various CNC lathes up to 3 meters in diameter. The hot and cold joining technique of several seals allows the creation of giant sealing rings.

Research and development

CARCO – PRP engineers can make customized gaskets, according to the operating conditions provided by the machine manufacturers. With our test benches we explore new projects and with our laboratory we develop new materials and test the quality of raw materials.
