Container service serverless version ACK serverless
Container service serverless version (ACK Serverless for short) is a safe and reliable container product based on Alibaba Cloud elastic computing infrastructure and fully compatible with Kubernetes ecology. With this product, you can quickly create Kubernetes container applications without managing and maintaining the cluster, and pay on demand according to the amount of CPU and memory resources actually used by the application, so that you can focus more on the application itself rather than the infrastructure running the application.
Create an ACK Serverless cluster quickly with low threshold, and deploy container applications in seconds. No need to manage Kubernetes nodes and servers, focusing on business applications
Elastic expansion
Using the ACK Serverless cluster does not need to worry about the capacity planning of the cluster node. It can easily and flexibly expand the resources required by the application according to the application load
Safety isolation
Based on Alibaba Cloud elastic container instance ECI, application pods are isolated from each other to prevent interference
Kubernetes compatible
Container applications can be deployed through Kubernetes command line and API, and Kubernetes typical application scenarios can be supported without modification
Product Functions
Simplify Kubernetes cluster managementChoosing an ACK Serverless cluster requires no management server and node, no maintenance of a fixed resource pool, low O&M management costs, and allows users to focus on business applications.
Provide rich Pod functions based on ECIIt supports specifying the underlying specifications of the Pod, attaching EIP, vGPU instances, Spot preemptive instances, image snapshots, and other functions.
Serverless is extremely elasticBased on the cloud oriented serverless highly elastic architecture, it can flexibly cope with peak business loads and easily support a single cluster of 10000 Pods.
Rich Kubernetes functionsSupport native Service/Express/Deployment/Job/CRD/Helm and other functions, and one-stop management of Kubernetes application life cycle.
Charge on demand per secondThe resource consumption is charged according to the time period from the start to the end of the instance. No fees are charged if the instance is not used, and no fees are paid for idle resources to reduce the overall computing cost.
Application scenarios
Application Hosting
Online business flexibility
Data calculation
CI/CD Tasks
Use container service serverless to manage K8s cluster at low O&M cost
There is no need to manage nodes to avoid various problems of node exceptions. All pods are securely isolated, greatly reducing the cost of cluster operation and maintenance.
Able to solve
The underlying infrastructure management is complex when deploying applications, and the operation and maintenance investment time is high
When using ECS or a Kubernetes cluster with nodes, it takes a lot of time to manage the underlying infrastructure. The ACK Serverless cluster can significantly reduce the operation and maintenance workload, allowing users to focus on applications rather than the underlying infrastructure.
Automatic business expansion based on business flow
For the peaks and valleys of business traffic, ACK Serverless is used to dynamically and flexibly scale the Pod to avoid wasting a lot of idle node resources.
Able to solve
The elastic capacity expansion based on nodes is not efficient enough to deal with peak traffic in a timely manner
When faced with high traffic in a short time, the ACK Serverless cluster can efficiently expand a large number of pods to meet the elastic requirements of the business.
Data calculation based on serverless elasticity and low cost
According to business data processing requirements, it can quickly create a large number of computing tasks in a short time to meet the demands of business big data and AI online processing, and is widely used in Spark, Presto and other data computing scenarios
Able to solve
High idle rate of resource pool and high cost
Using the ACK Serverless cluster does not require capacity planning, but creates applications on demand to reduce computing costs.
Use ACK Serverless to run Jenkins/Gatlab Runner to create jobs on demand, which greatly reduces computing costs.
Able to solve
CI/CD isolation is not high, and the cost of maintaining a fixed resource pool is not low
The Pod runtime in the ACK Serverless cluster is strongly isolated and will not affect each other. At the same time, on-demand use can avoid long-term maintenance of fixed resource pools and reduce computing costs.
Alibaba Cloud helps Tucson improve performance and accelerate model iteration in the future
With the rapid development of business and faster and faster iteration, Tucson's future model is becoming more and more complex. Through the combination of Kubernetes version of container service and Serverless version of container service for short and long tasks, Tucson's future resource utilization is improved and costs are saved.
Yueguang Medical: Skillfully use the serverless version of container service to improve diagnostic accuracy
After the container service serverless version is adopted, the operation and maintenance is more convenient. Instead of managing the underlying ECS machine assets, it may be necessary to manage the operating system and system images. Now it is only necessary to focus on the container images of business applications.
