Usage: two computers need to copy files from each other, and the files are large, and the USB flash disk can't do that, such as replacing a new computer

Materials required: 1 network cable, 2 computers with network card drive (not limited to laptop or desktop)

Purpose: Copy all files on disk D of machine 1 to the desktop of machine 2

Operation steps:

  • 1. Connect the two computers directly with the network cable, as shown in the figure below: remember to connect them directly with the network cable

  • 2. Fix the IP address of machine 1

IP:192.168.0.1

Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

Gateway: 192.168.0.1

DNS not filled

  • 3. Fix the IP address of machine 2

IP:192.168.0.2

Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

Gateway: 192.168.0.1
 No network is required. You can use one network cable to directly connect two computers and directly transfer files

After setting the IP address of machine 2, ping the IP address: 192.168.0.1 to see if it can be pinged,

  • 4. Share the entire D: disk of machine 1

Right click Disk D, advanced sharing, and then set sharing

  • 5. Machine 2 accesses the shared path of machine 1

Open my computer and enter 192.168.0.1\

Then you can see the files shared by machine 1, which can be copied directly. The speed is the reading and writing speed of the hard disks of the two computers, which is generally 10M/s
