Microsoft is launching a new command line terminal tool called Windows Terminal. It is designed to access environments such as PowerShell, Cmd, and Windows Linux subsystem (WSL). Microsoft is adding support for multiple tabs, split windows, shortcut keys, themes and customization for developers who want to adjust terminal tools. Microsoft's new Windows terminal application was announced at the Build 2019 developer conference.

precondition:

  • Win10 operating system version must be (build>=10.0.18362.0) or higher to run Windows Terminal
  • You will need at least VS 2017 installed
  • You will need to install both the following packages in VS:
    "Desktop Development with C++"
    "Universal Windows Platform Development"
    If you're running VS2019, you'll also need to install the "v141 Toolset" and "Visual C++ ATL for x86 and x64"

This repository uses git submodules to implement some of its dependencies. To ensure that the submodule has been restored or updated, make sure to run the following commands before building:
git submodule update --init --recursive
