On April 23, IT Home reported that Microsoft is strengthening its AI supercomputing team by recruiting industry talents. Taylor served in Meta from 2009 to 2022, and his most recent position was Vice President in charge of the company's infrastructure. According to his LinkedIn profile, he was responsible for managing AI, data, privacy infrastructure, and the company's server budget. In addition, Taylor also In 2017, he served as the chairman of the Open Compute Project Foundation, which is committed to promoting open source design of data centers.

With the rapid development of artificial intelligence systems, Microsoft and OpenAI need more powerful hardware infrastructure to keep pace. A report by The Information last month said that Microsoft and OpenAI planned to build a supercomputer worth 100 billion dollars (currently about 725 billion yuan), code named "Stargate", to support the operation of OpenAI models. However, Scott seems to deny this rumor in LinkedIn's post, saying that most recent guesses are "interestingly wrong".

In March this year, Microsoft announced that it would hire Mustafa Suleyman, co-founder of Google DeepMind, as the CEO of the newly established consumer AI department, which is responsible for overseeing Copilot, Bing, Edge and other products.
