1、 Platform Introduction
WeChat has designed a unique brand protection solution for a small number of users who use the WeChat platform to publish counterfeit information. Specifically, WeChat requires users to provide clues about counterfeiting information, which will be identified by the brand owner (trademark owner), and then WeChat can crack down on the act of publishing counterfeit information. Therefore, we connect users and brand rights holders, build a brand rights protection platform, protect the legitimate rights and interests of brand rights holders, and maintain the healthy ecology of Internet intellectual property rights.
The brand rights protection platform (hereinafter referred to as "BPP") means that after the brand right owner accesses, WeChat users can find the brand through WeChat and submit a report on the sale of fake WeChat personal accounts to the brand. The brand right owner checks the reporting clues through the online platform set up by WeChat, identifies the illegal accounts reported by users, and puts forward account processing requests to WeChat according to the identification results. WeChat will remove the infringement information according to the identification result of the brand obligee, and dispose the illegal account accordingly.
Trademark obligees accessing WeChat brand rights protection platform:
1. Get the clues of counterfeit information related to the brand submitted by WeChat users through the background of the brand owner;
2. Identify whether the tip off clues are suspected of counterfeiting through BPP, and WeChat will dispose the infringing WeChat account involved in publishing counterfeiting information according to the identification conclusion and feedback of the brand obligee;
