The blog's performance on raspberry pie is a little poor,
Simply take advantage of the Dragon Boat Festival at home, directly moved to the old notebook.

In fact, there was a VMware virtual machine on the notebook,
But I feel that it is almost fun to run a virtual machine,
Installing Linux directly on a laptop is a bit overproductive, and it is not easy to manage remotely,
The dual system can't be used at the same time, and it seems more troublesome...

After careful consideration, we finally decided to use ESXi to build a virtualization platform and provide a virtualization solution for the whole laptop,
As for why to use ESXi, the reason is very simple. I am used to using VMware Workstation virtual machines. VMware products are relatively easy to use,
In addition, there are many articles related to VMware ESXi online, and problems are easy to solve (focus).

After VMware ESXi is installed normally,
The lower network needs to be configured (if DHCP is used, it is recommended to bind a fixed IP address to the device on the gateway or router)
After the configuration is completed, you can view the management interface from the IP address displayed on the chrome access interface.

The installation process is not as smooth as expected, because the ISO image downloaded directly from the official website cannot be successfully installed, because the network card of the device is not in the support list,

So you need to add a third-party network card driver to install it normally
It is recommended to use ESXi Customizer PS in conjunction with VMware PowerCLI tool to specify the network card driver online and VMware ESXI version image for packaging and downloading,
You can also directly search Google for keywords such as "VMware ESXi network card driver". You should be able to find many tutorials, so there is not so much nonsense here.

Let's talk about the configuration of my laptop. The model is Shenzhou K650D i7D3. The configuration is to make the display more intuitive,

I bought this laptop in 16 years. It's a 4000 yuan game book, with SSD and memory added in the back,
The current configuration is 12G memory, 120G solid state+1T western digital black disk. At present
It must be enough to run several virtual machines. The overall performance is OK,
Of course, it will take a while to see how the experience is,
No matter how bad it is, it must be much better than the shrinking cloud servers of various domestic clouds...

Brother, hello, please ask me, I am also a Shenzhou k650d3-i5. After successfully installing ESXI, the restart screen is always on and does not display any content. After restarting, I cannot access bios through F2. Later, after the system disk is removed, I can access bios normally. What is the reason...

Brother, I have a K610D I5 D3 and I plan to do the same. Would you like to ask whether laptops can access virtual machines everyday? It's a laptop. Besides our remote access, can it play on its own?

@Small c I haven't been able to achieve what you said for the time being. It needs to directly connect the video card and various peripherals to a virtual machine. If the notebook is intended to be used normally, I'm not recommended to do it like this.
