What is the nature of this case?

This case belongs to very bad domestic violence, and calls on Silicon Valley Chinese to improve their awareness of domestic violence. I would like to add that domestic violence is a kind of violence. This person killed another person with his fist. It is not any rumor that can be explained and rationalized.

Do you know both parties?

incognizance. My Google friend L knows Chen and thinks that Chen is more social. Chen and Yu's circle of friends in Tsinghua and Silicon Valley are highly overlapping. Friends who knew Chen said they couldn't see it at all. They didn't expect such a tragedy to happen.

Why was Chen absent from the first five summonses?

California law stipulates that the arraignment of felony must be in person, not by a lawyer.

When Chen's lawyer was absent for the fifth time, I saw a reporter on the scene asking that the medical record should be submitted within the first 72 hours of the absence summons. Chen's lawyer said that it should be submitted, and when questioned, he said that he did not have the right to record. I think that interview was a breakthrough.

First, analyze Chen's lawyer's speaking style. The reporter also asked the lawyer whether Chen Fu had been there. At first, the lawyer said that he was not clear, maybe not, but later said that he might have been there once. "There are too many subpoenas" was unclear. From my point of view, Chen's father's social identity is just like that of the Internet, and the photos prove that he was present at the 1/24 interview. Chen's lawyer should be clear about this, but he chose to deny it, so we should be careful to deal with other views he said.

Then back to the fifth subpoena, Chen's lawyer should have known that Chen had submitted medical records, and just because he had not seen them with his own eyes, he picked himself up by spring and autumn writing. His answer, "I don't know what it is", is in a tone that makes people suspect that it is specific.

In other words, Chen submitted medical records as the basis for his absence. This is not contempt for the court, nor is it a special strategy, because the judge is obviously dissatisfied with Chen's repeated absences, and it is not wise to delay time in a simple communication link.

How do you feel when you see Chen at the scene?

His face was expressionless, or rather ashen. His eyes were cold. As a human emotion, he seemed to be pulled away, looking a bit scary. It's hard for normal people to pretend like that.

Combined with his friend's statement of "empty eyes" and abnormal behavior before the crime, I speculate that this may be a physical manifestation of mental illness.

Why did Chen wear a helmet when he attended the summons?

According to the internet, this helmet is "specially prepared for those prisoners who are extremely emotionally unstable in prison and may show suicidal tendencies". However, in the interview of the fifth subpoena, when asked by the reporter whether he committed suicide in the detention center, Chen's lawyer directly smiled and said that it was Rumor's, as if he was answering a very simple question, so I realized that this question and answer was not cut into the released video. In the sixth interview, the lawyer said that Chen's head was injured and he wore a helmet for protection.

If these information are true (big premise!), I can only understand that the medical record submitted by Chen is about mental health. Therefore, although he has no suicidal intention, he still wears a helmet in case.

I bet 50 cents that the lawyer will plead innocence according to mental illness.

If the plea of innocence is based on mental illness, will it be found innocent?

Why should I pay attention to this event?

At the first time when the news came out, before most of the media could find out how old the deceased was and whether the boy was dead, I sent a screenshot of California's public prosecution against Chen in Little Red Book. In the following week, when rumors about Chen's motives were overwhelming and dirty water was poured on girls, my social media flow was used to refute rumors, and hundreds of thousands of posts were read.

Personally, the energy difference between the two countries is quite large——

• While family members here are still rushing to apply for humanitarian visas, people on the other side have already arrived at the hearing in Silicon Valley;

The delay may be good for the wife's family. Despite repeated delays, in the case of such serious circumstances and sufficient evidence, the probability of the man being prosecuted is 99.9%.
