Peer Review

Peer review is an essential part of the scientific process，ensuring that agiven study's conclusions are objective and supported by the scientific evidence。At NTP，draft reports and monographs are peer reviewed prior to publication。Peer review may be conducted by letter or at a panel meeting。The peer review process frequently offers opportunity for public comment。

Peer reviewers serve as independent scientists，not as representatives of any industry，company，or governmental agency，and are screened for conflict of interest。Peer review comments are carefully considered by NTP in finalizing reports and monographs for publication。
