The height and weight of "Haiji No. 1" put into use has set a new record for China's offshore single oil production platform

Beijing, October 3 (Reporter Ran Yongping, Ding Yiting) On October 3, the first deepwater jacket platform in Asia, "Haiji No.1", independently designed and built by CNOOC, was put into use, marking that China has successfully opened up a new model for oil and gas development of deepwater fixed platforms. "Haiji No.1" is located in the sea area of the Pearl River Mouth Basin, with a total height of 340.5 meters and a total weight of more than 40000 tons. Both the height and weight of the platform have set new records for China's offshore single oil production platform.
"Haiji No.1" will put 5 production wells into production at the same time, with a daily output of about 2700 tons at the initial stage. Relying on "Haiji No.1", Lufeng 15-1 and Lufeng 22-1 oilfields will be developed at the same time, with a total of 14 production wells and 3 water injection wells. After all of them are put into operation, the peak daily crude oil output will reach 5000 tons.
It is reported that "Haiji No.1" is the first attempt of deepwater jacket platform development mode in China, which has moved the production system from underwater to the platform. It has significant advantages of low development investment, low production cost and high localization rate. Its successful application has opened up a new way for the economic and effective development of oil and gas resources in China's medium and deepwater waters.
