The JRC laboratory for alternatives to animal testing is30years old this year。Alot has been accomplished since1991，but the mission is not over yet。We take a look at the milestones，achievements and the road ahead。

During the European Commission’s Second Annual Forum on Endocrine Disruptors，the JRC presented the findings of the recently completed Fitness Check of the欧盟legal framework on these chemicals。

In a recent report，the JRC makes the case for introducing teaching on the Three Rs-Replacement，Reduction and Refinement of animal experiments-into secondary schools，universities and continuing education programmes。

The JRC has published responses to frequently asked questions（FAQs）about the EURL ECVAM Recomendation on non-animal derived antibodies。

JRC scientists have contributed to anew guideline released by the International Cooperation on Harmonisation of Technical Requirements for Registration of Veterinary Medicinal Products（VICH）to allow the waiving of an unnecessary animal test for batch safety testing of veterinary vaccines。

The ALURES Statistical EU Databaseon the use of animals for scientific purposes provides data collected by the Member States and submitted to the European Commission annually。It offers free access to all interested in obtaining more information on animal use in the EU。The database is supported by adownloadable leaflet and a video。

The workshop aims to create an open cross-disciplinary environment to discuss how the combination of different models can contribute to the development of biomedical sciences。

The aim of this event is to give participants insight on EPAA achievements in 2021，announce the EPAA Refinement prize winner，and to discuss its role in the EU Chemical Strategy for Sustainability。A draft programme and registration will be available soon the EPAA website。
