Renting an account does not seem to cause any harm. For example, some game players can get more game experience through renting an account, but there is actually a big risk.
Some online black ash products obtain normal WeChat user accounts by leasing, purchasing, etc., and then use them to commit crimes and evade supervision.
Users can easily fall into a trap and become "accomplices" of criminals.
It sounds like the swindler just said some reasons why people and animals are harmless, such as renting an account to praise businesses, write reviews, and canvass children.
They also "thoughtfully" actively suggest users to withdraw the money from their accounts first, promise that "they will not interfere with the normal life of users", "they will not be used for illegal purposes", and so on.
But in fact, once you agree to open your account to them, you will face huge risks.
Risks of renting and selling WeChat accounts
1. Either giving the account password or scanning the code to let the other party log in to your account means that your personal privacy will also be out of protection, and chat records and other content may be stolen.
2. Without prior notice, your friend is not aware of your account rental, and the fraudster may fake your identity to borrow money from your friend or apply for a loan.
3. During the period when the account is rented, it is also likely to be used for malicious acts such as publishing false advertisements, soliciting prostitutes and spreading bad information, and even for committing network fraud crimes.
4. Because the real name account has the payment function and generally has no abnormal transaction records, it is easy to be targeted by illegal gangs to split and "launder" their stolen money and escape the tracking of regulatory authorities and the police. Once the WeChat account rented by the user is involved in "money laundering", the account will no longer be "innocent".
5. If the user still chooses to rent and sell while knowing that the lawbreakers will use their account numbers and collection codes for illegal and criminal activities, they may be held legally responsible for helping commit crimes.
For the "rent number" scam, the official also handled some WeChat accounts.
In short, the risk of renting and selling WeChat is quite high, so we should not easily participate in it.
