After disillusionment with computer science (update: I think I have walked slowly again.) I decided to learn information security.
So we need to install Linux in the virtual machine
Here is a record of my initial environment establishment process to facilitate the environment reconstruction that may be needed in the future (rather than writing a script directly
Release Selection
The Linux distribution chooses Manjaro Xfce. Why choose this distribution?
(VMware Workstation Player is free for personal use
First, why Manjaro?
Because the famous Kali Linux does not provide iso download, there is only one seed file on the official website, and there is no extension in the image of tuna ustc ( ̄ Д ̄)┍
(Besides, what are so many tools in it? What are they used for? How? I don't know. TAT
Arch Linux software source I blew my hat, so I chose Manjaro to build it quickly~
Ubuntu is not an option... it just feels a bit... ugly
Second, why Xfce?
After all, it is installed in the virtual machine~
Now that there is a host, the interface is not so important.
Xfce has small memory footprint, fast running, and beautiful default configuration

Then log out and log in to the root user.
