From December 1 to 3, the 7th China Youth Volunteer Service Project Competition and 2023 Volunteer Service Exchange Conference (hereinafter referred to as "the Fair") was held in Shantou, Guangdong. The exhibition was co sponsored by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Central Social Work Department, the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the Ministry of Water Resources, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the National Health Commission, the China Disabled Persons' Federation, the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee and the Guangdong Provincial People's Government, and undertaken by the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League, the CPC Shantou Municipal Committee and the Shantou Municipal People's Government.

A Dong, the first secretary of the Secretariat of the Communist Youth League Central Committee, and Zhao Shitang, the deputy minister of the Social Work Department of the Central Committee, attended and delivered speeches. Zhang Xin, the deputy governor of Guangdong Provincial Government, and Wen Zhanbin, the secretary of the CPC Shantou Municipal Committee, attended and delivered speeches. Yu Xuejun, Deputy Director of the National Health Commission, and Hu Sheng, Secretary of the Secretariat of the Communist Youth League Central Committee attended the meeting. More than 400 people participated in the event, including young volunteers, volunteer service organizations, experts and scholars from all over the country, the executive director of the China Youth Volunteer Association, and relevant responsible comrades from the main organizing units, provincial Youth League committees, and youth volunteer work organizations.

The Fair has increasingly become a national comprehensive service platform integrating volunteer service project exhibition, organizational exchanges, resource docking, and cultural guidance. Communist Youth League and youth volunteer service organizations at all levels should thoroughly study and implement the important thought of General Secretary Xi Jinping on youth work and the spirit of important instructions and instructions on youth volunteer work, continue to deepen the action of Chinese youth volunteers, take practical actions, struggle with youth, and stand up to the new journey of Chinese modernization. Zhao Shitang pointed out in his speech that since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core has attached great importance to the cause of volunteer service, made a series of important arrangements, and issued a series of major policies to promote the vigorous development of volunteer service in China. Young volunteers are the new force and commando of the volunteer team, playing an important pioneering and leading role in the development of China's volunteer service. It is hoped that young volunteers can better shoulder the new mission entrusted by the new era and play more and greater roles in the Party's social work. It is reported that the theme of this exhibition is "Volunteering for a new era, building a Chinese dream together". It is a rich and vivid project exhibition, organizational exchange, theoretical discussion, cultural communication, display style, collision ideas, and promote development together. During this period, five key exchange conferences were held, including "Volunteer Service and Public Welfare Entrepreneurship" theme seminar, "Volunteer Service Integration and Development in Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area", "Volunteer Service for Large scale Games", five parallel exchange conferences, including "Overseas Plan" and "Sunshine Action for Handicapped People", as well as volunteer service theme drama performance, volunteer service culture exhibition, "Volunteer Light" youth song festival Volunteer service lecture hall, charity entrepreneurship training camp and other activities.
