On the morning of April 30, the 16th Guangzhou Nansha Mazu Cultural Tourism Festival opened in Nansha Tianhou Palace Scenic Area. The activity lasts until May 5, and provides the citizens and tourists with wonderful Mazu cultural activities for six consecutive days.

The Kylin Dance Performance, an intangible cultural heritage folk performance, kicked off this Mazu Cultural Tourism Festival. At the scene, every eight unicorns danced at the same time, different in size and appearance, echoing each other. As the drumbeat became more and more intense, the Kirin also danced more and more, causing the audience to burst into applause. The wonderful performance shows the vitality and artistic beauty of the Huangge Kylin Dance, which has been passed down for more than 300 years, to citizens and tourists.

After the magnificent performance of intangible cultural heritage, the audience immediately took the passive poetic music "Nansha Tianhou Palace Fu" into a warm and moving atmosphere. On the stage, the actors dressed in exquisite Han suits, through the art form of dance, instrumental music and recitation, affectionately demonstrate the spirit of "morality, charity and love" of Mazu Empress.

With the sound of the chimes, the beating of drums and banners, and the sound of salutes, the large-scale traditional Mazu ceremony performance officially began. It is reported that during this tourism festival, a series of activities will be held, such as Mazu Sea Tour, Mazu Culture Seminar, Mazu Matchmaking, Tianhou Ruins, Mazu themed light show, spot performance, Nansha Tianhou Palace AR Yuan universe night tour competition, Xiangyun gauze walk show, Song Yun water wedding, etc., to jointly open a new chapter of Nansha Mazu culture.

According to reports, the biggest highlight of this year's Mazu Cultural Tourism Festival is to integrate the night culture of Tianhou Temple with Mazu culture, and jointly create night light and shadow performances. "This year (Nansha), the whole central axis has been opened at night, and a light show of 'sounds of nature' has been designed. At the same time, Mazu light show will also have an all-round interactive display in the square. At night, there will be an interactive performance of intangible cultural heritage."
