On April 30, the commencement ceremony of the air traffic control project of the reconstruction and expansion project of Wuwei Airport in Nanning, Guangxi was held, and more than 100 people from the Department of Transport of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Central and Southern Air Traffic Control Bureau of CAAC, Guangxi Air Traffic Control Branch of CAAC, Guangxi Airport Management Group, South China Company of China Construction Fifth Engineering Bureau and other relevant units attended the ceremony.

The project construction includes tower operation room, groundwater pump room, control business room, air traffic control work area power room, etc. It is an important part of Nanning regional aviation hub. After the completion of the project, it will provide a solid support for effectively ensuring civil aviation flight safety, alleviating the overall flow pressure in the region, improving air traffic control support capacity, reducing operational risks, promoting the modernization of civil aviation air traffic control in Guangxi, greatly improving the air traffic service level in Guangxi, and promoting regional economic development.

At the ceremony, Guangxi Air Traffic Control Branch of CAAC and South China Branch of China Construction Fifth Engineering Bureau, the project contractor, also held the kick-off meeting of "striving for clean project demonstration sites" to strengthen the construction of clean project demonstration sites.
