Zhou Liechui, born in July 1964, is the chief technician of the large machine driver of the State Railway Nanning Bureau and the "railway craftsman" of the State Railway Group. His repair shop is the only "4S shop" in Guangxi that can repair large machines. Over the past 40 years, he has been able to "catch" and "cure" all kinds of "difficult and miscellaneous diseases" on more than 100 large machines.

Zhou Liechui, who has been dealing with the big machine all his life, said that the big machine is like a treasure. As the "chief technician", Zhou Liechui is busier than usual: he is involved in the guidance and careful inspection of various areas and work processes in the repair shop, such as formulating work plans, troubleshooting equipment failures, careful inspection and maintenance, and conducting large machine experiments. After checking the garage, Zhou Liechui immediately came to his work station and began to draw design drawings on the computer. The hoist is an indispensable emergency equipment on the large machine. If the large machine is derailed accidentally, it needs to be lifted to the rail again, but the operation is complex and takes a long time. So Zhou Liechui, who loves to study, began to "knock" the problem. After continuous follow-up, in-depth demonstration and repeated practice, He upgraded the power of the original hoist from hydraulic system to electric system, and successfully produced a set of samples. The number of operators was reduced from 5 to 1, and the time of hoisting was reduced from 30 minutes to 3 minutes. The performance and efficiency were greatly improved, which was highly praised by the staff, and will be promoted later.

From morning to night, he was busy, "sweating on sunny days and mud on rainy days", which still fresh in his memory.

"Later, I was assigned to work as an operator on the big machine. We used to work for a few days, and the operation of the big machine was completed in an hour, which was incredible!" Zhou Liechui was still very excited when he remembered the first time he saw the big machine just introduced from abroad years later. Looking at the precision instruments and the dotted displays on the big plane, everyone was amazed and eager to try. Nanning Bureau of State Railway soon established a professional construction team for large machinery, and Guangxi started the era of mechanical road maintenance.

"Who would have thought that all the big machines that seemed so advanced at the beginning have been eliminated, but now they have basically been replaced by large machines made in China, with more varieties and models, higher scientific and technological content, more accurate operation, and faster operation speed!" In Zhou Liechui's view, the 40 years of work is also the best witness to the development and change of China's railway. The railway is built more intensively, the road maintenance equipment is constantly changing, the train speed continues to improve, and the travel of people is more convenient.
