On April 26, the Tianjin Federation of Trade Unions held the theme training of the "Law on the Prevention and Control of Occupational Diseases" publicity week, to popularize the knowledge of occupational disease prevention, strengthen the awareness of occupational disease prevention, further improve the participation of labor protection cadres of trade unions in the city and labor protection supervisors and inspectors of municipal trade unions in the prevention and control of occupational diseases, and promote workers to improve their occupational health literacy. About 140 labor protection cadres of the trade unions of the district bureaus, group companies and municipal labor protection supervision inspectors attended the training.

In combination with the needs of the publicity week of the Law on the Prevention and Control of Occupational Diseases, the training conveyed the work deployment of the publicity week of the Law on the Prevention and Control of Occupational Diseases of the trade union system, publicized and implemented the Prompt Letter on Doing a Good Job in the Key Work of Labor Protection of the Trade Union in the Near Future, and organized participants to watch the safety production warning educational film. The training invited the chief physician of the Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention to give a lecture on the theme of "common occupational disease prevention", which was carried out from three aspects of occupational disease overview, common occupational disease prevention, and occupational disease prevention principles, focusing on the prevention of occupational hazards such as pneumoconiosis, noise deafness, hydrogen sulfide poisoning, and high temperature heatstroke. Publicity materials such as Employee Occupational Health and Safety Common Sense were also distributed at the training site.

Participants said that this training provided them with a good learning opportunity. In their future work, they will continue to strengthen the learning of occupational disease prevention and control related knowledge, safeguard the safety and health rights of employees, promote enterprises and institutions to implement the main responsibility of occupational disease prevention and control, and create a good safety environment for writing the chapter of Chinese modern Tianjin.
