Registry security lock service

The Registry Lock Service is the highest level of domain name security protection at present. This service adds three EPP standard status settings for domain names: Server Delete Prohibited, Server Update Prohibited, and Server Transfer Prohibited.

The registration office is responsible for setting and canceling the status. After the protection lock is set for the domain name, the domain name registration information update, domain name registrar change, domain name transfer registration service organization, and DNS server change operations, in addition to the normal system verification process, should also be conducted after the corresponding verification by the special person from the registration office.

This service can effectively avoid domain name security problems that may be caused by changes in the company's personnel and disputes with the website building company.

1. What operations on domain names can be prohibited by the registry security lock?

The transfer, modification (registration information, owner, DNS) and deletion of domain names are prohibited. The corresponding operations on the management platform must be unlocked before proceeding.

2. Can the lock server be unlocked during locking? Will the security lock service continue to be effective after unlocking?

The server room can apply for unlocking, but the original security lock service fails after unlocking.

3. If domain name accounts are transferred, will the registry security lock service continue to be effective?

The domain name protected by the registration office's security lock is not allowed to transfer between accounts. If you need to operate, please submit a work order for processing. After the transfer, the original security lock service will become invalid.

4. If the domain name needs to be transferred to another registrar, can the registry security lock continue to be used?

After adding a registry security lock lock, the transfer operation cannot be performed. If you need to transfer out, you need to first release the security lock, and then the security lock service will become invalid.

5. Whether the registration bureau security lock supports refund

Since the registry security lock is a lock adding service at the registry level, refund is not supported.
