Taiwan. com, March 18 - In the early morning of March 18, the Fujian Maritime Police 2101 rescued a sea fishing boat of Kinmen nationality who had lost power during anchoring at Weitou Bay dangerous goods anchorage. It is understood that there are 2 people on board, all of whom are Jinmen people. The marine police immediately carried out medical assistance and humanitarian care for them, provided them with hot water, food, cotton padded clothes, etc., and sent special personnel to accompany them.

It is understood that at about 12:00 on March 17, two people set out from the Jinmen Stream Bathing Beach to go fishing in the sea near Beiding Island. At 18:00, they found that the fishing boat was running out of fuel (gasoline). In addition, due to poor visibility at sea, the power of the mobile phones it carried was exhausted, and other reasons, the fishing boat immediately drifted to the Waitou Bay anchorage.

Two people tied the fishing boat to the fishing net float and waited for help when a boat passed by. In the middle of the night of the same day, Fujian Maritime Search and Rescue Center received a notice from the Chinese Search and Rescue Association of Taiwan that two Jinmen personnel went fishing in the sea and did not return, and many departments in Fujian started the search and rescue. At about 4:15 a.m. on the 18th, the two were rescued by the Coast Guard 2101 boat in the waters of Weitou Bay, Quanzhou, and initially checked to be in good condition.

After rescue, the Marine Police 2101 boat immediately carried out medical assistance and humanitarian care for the personnel, took them to the restaurant to rest, provided them with hot water, food, cotton padded clothes, etc., and sent special personnel to take care of them. The two were in normal physical condition.

Chen Binhua, spokesman of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, said that the mainland has always attached great importance to safeguarding the lives and property of people on both sides of the Straits by adhering to the people as the center. Both sides of the Straits are originally a family. It is reasonable for both sides to rescue and help each other in case of a maritime emergency, which reflects the humanitarian spirit and demonstrates the blood and feelings between compatriots on both sides of the Straits.
