"The best way to chant things is to rely on things to express happiness" (Xue Xue's "Yipiao Poems" in Qing Dynasty). The best way to chant things is to rely on nature. Qiu Jun advocates writing poems naturally, and opposes the use of strange words and different expressions. He believes that "the oral language of the scene in front of you is the excellent words of a poet" (Answering Friends on Poetry). Therefore, most of his poems are natural and fresh, and many of them are interesting. Most of his chanting poems are also the natural expression of "the oral language of the scenery in front of him". They do not deliberately seek sustenance, but only rely on things to express happiness intentionally or unintentionally, and express feelings by taking advantage of the scenery. It seems that there is no sustenance, but sustenance is remote. It is more wonderful and extraordinary.

The poem "Singing of Litchi" seems ordinary but strange. A correct understanding of the sentence "pity" is the key to accurately grasp the sustenance of the whole poem. Most people understand "pity" as "pity", which is not only the estrangement of the poet's ingenuity, but also the ignorance of the poet's mind. Qiu Jun had ambitions of "counting the Central Plains from overseas" ("Five Finger Mountains") and "absorbing Jiangxiang at a draught" ("Sea") since he was young. He was full of pride and self-confidence for being born in Hainan and growing up in Hainan, without any inferiority complex, Never make a pathetic appearance. He had great ambition and talent, and was highly recommended by the people of the time, which made him successful as a young man and became a senior officer of the central government from a scholar all the way. There will never be a sense of loss for those who miss their talents.

Therefore, "pity" can only mean love. "Pity" and "loveliness" have existed since ancient times. For example, Gu Yuefu's Peacock Flies Southeast: "My name is Qin Luofu, and my poor body is incomparable." Tang Du Mu's "Four Melodies of Harmony": "The state is near the fishing platform, and the brooks and mountains are really poor, It is because it grows in the advantaged corner of the sea and the ends of the earth that it can be born with such unparalleled natural beauty, and can be doubly loved and favored. Hainan litchi, an extremely precious natural beauty, can only grow on this advantaged hot land at the ends of the earth. The poet's praise and admiration for Hainan litchi is a reflection of the poet's love and attachment to his hometown in Hainan. And this kind of sustenance is also wonderful, natural and ingenious, which is more profound and meaningful. It is not only the purpose of the wind people, but also the Three Samadhi of chanting things.
