With the development of economy and technology, the demand for viscosity measurement of wider viscosity standards is gradually expanding. For example, in China's urban transportation industry, more than 90% of urban roads are asphalt pavements. There are 9 asphalt viscosity tests in JTG E20-2011 Test Specification for Asphalt and Asphalt Mixture of Highway Engineering. Most of the equipment needs to be calibrated with high viscosity reference materials under high temperature conditions, and the maximum viscosity can reach 3 × 10 five mPa·s。

The Chinese Academy of Metrology has developed three kinds of constant temperature in the range of (52~76) ℃ and kinematic viscosity in the range of (3.5 × 10 four ~ 5.0×10 five )mm two /Within s, U rel =(0.56~0.58)%; The dynamic viscosity is (3.0 × 10 four ~4.7×10 five )Within the range of mPa · s, U rel =(0.58~0.60)% viscosity reference material. The kinematic viscosity of this series of reference materials is determined by reference capillary viscometer, which can be traced back to the national viscosity reference device (National Metrology Reference Certificate No.: GJZ [2015] No. 105); The second class standard densimeter is used for density setting, which can be traced back to the national first class standard densimeter.

This series of reference materials is applicable to the verification and calibration of JJG (Transportation) 157-2020 Dynamic Shear Rheometer and various viscometers, which can meet the demand of urban transportation industry for high viscosity reference materials and solve the traceability problem of asphalt dynamic shear rheometer and other viscometers in the industry.
