In the wild, the living environment is very bad, and various disasters will come unexpectedly. It is very important for wild survivors to know their difficulties in time, inform others and seek help. When you are in distress, you should contact others by various means. The signal sent should be enough to attract people's attention.

1、 Signal type

Send different distress signals according to their own conditions and the surrounding environmental conditions. In general, repeated actions three times symbolize seeking assistance.

Types of signals include:

   [pyrotechnic signal]

Firelight is very effective as a contact signal. In case of danger, according to your own situation, in order to ensure its reliability, you can put some moss, green branches, rubber, etc. on the fire during the day to make it produce thick smoke; Put some dry firewood at night to make the fire burn up and rise.

Setting off three piles of flame is an internationally accepted distress signal. It is ideal to arrange the fire in a triangle with equal spacing between each pile. This arrangement is also convenient for lighting. If the fuel is scarce or you are seriously injured, or you are hungry or too weak to gather three flames, then you can simply light one.

It is impossible to let all signal kindlings burn all day long, but you should be ready at all times to keep the fuel dry. Once any aircraft passes by, you should light it for help as soon as possible.

The fuel of the fire should be easy to burn, and it should be able to burn quickly after ignition, because some opportunities are fleeting. Birch bark is an ideal fuel.

Gasoline can be used, but it cannot be dumped on the fire. Use some cloth to make lamp wick belt, soak it in gasoline, and then put it on the fuel pile. Move the gasoline tank to a safe place and ignite it. After ignition, if the fire is good, it will be extinguished. Before adding gasoline, make sure that it is added to the fuel without sparks or embers.

In the daytime, smoke is a good locator, so smoke emitting materials should be added to the fire. The dense smoke forms a strong contrast with the surrounding environment after lift off, which is easy to be noticed.

At night or in the dark green jungle, the bright smoke is very eye-catching. Adding grass, leaves, mosses and ferns will produce thick smoke. In fact, anything wet will produce smoke. Wet straw mats and cushions can be smoked and burned for a long time. At the same time, flying insects are difficult to approach and hurt people.

Black smoke is most noticeable in snow or desert. Rubber and gasoline can produce black smoke.

If restricted by air conditions, the smoke can only float near the surface, which can increase the fire. In this way, the rising momentum of warm air flow will be stronger, and the smoke will be carried to a considerable height.

   [Ground to air signal]

The letters listed below are international emergency signals. "FILL" can help you remember the main signals. A single stick "1" is the most important and easiest to make. The size of each signal is 10 meters long, 3 meters wide, and the interval between each signal is 3 meters.

   [Body signal]

When the search aircraft is close, the meaning of the person in distress can be expressed by body signals.

  [Banner signal]

A flag or a piece of bright cloth is tied to the stick. When holding the stick, long stroke on the left side and short stroke on the right side, increase the range of action, and do an "8" shape movement.

If the two sides are close, do not do the "8" movement. A simple row can be used. One long row on the left and one short row on the right. The former should take a little longer than the latter.

   [Sound signal]

If you are close, you can shout loudly, three short, three long, three short; Repeat every 1 minute.

   [Reflective signal]

Signal light can be emitted by sunlight and a reflector. Any bright material can be used, such as can lid, glass, a piece of platinum, and a mirror is certainly more ideal. Continuous reflection will generate a long line and a dot regularly, which is a kind of Morse code. Even if you don't understand Morse code, you can also be eye-catching if you reflect freely. In any case, at least SOS code should be mastered.

Even if you are quite far away, you can detect a reflected light signal, even if you do not know the location of the target you want to contact, so it is worth exploring more, and it is just a simple task. Look around the sky. If a plane approaches, it will quickly reflect the signal light. This light may dazzle rescue personnel, so once you are sure that you have been found, you should stop reflecting light immediately.

2、 How to use the signal to ask for help

   [Ignite the fire]

Three piles of fire shall be lit consecutively, and the distance between them shall be equal. Smoke can be combusted in the daytime. Put some grass and other smoke producing articles on the fire, and add 6 times per minute. Flammable at night.

  [Voice for help]

Send a distress signal within a short distance. It can shout loudly or make sound with the help of other objects, such as striking trees with axes and sticks.

   [Using reflectors]

It is an effective way to use the reflected light signal. The available reflective items such as metal signal mirror, can scalp, glass sheet, glasses, and echo meter.

   [Mark on the ground]

Ground signs can be made on relatively open ground, such as grass, beach and snow. For example, cut the grass into certain signs, or step on the snow to make certain signs; You can also use branches, seaweed, etc. to make up a certain sign to get in touch with the air. It can also be shown by the ground air contact symbol uniformly stipulated by international civil aviation.

Remember these words: SOS SEND DOCTOR HELP INJURY TRAPPED Lost WATER

   [Leave a message]

When leaving a dangerous place, leave some signals for the rescue workers to find. Ground signals enable rescuers to know your position or past position. Direction indicators help them find your path of action. Keep leaving indicators along the way, so that rescue workers can not only follow them, but also not get lost when they want to return - if they lose their direction and can not find the route they want to take, they can become a guide.

Direction indicators include:

(a) Put rocks or crushed stones in the shape of arrows;

(b) Support the stick between the forks, with the top pointing to the direction of action;

(c) Tie a knot on the middle and upper part of the rolling grass to make its top bend to indicate the direction of action;

(d) Place a branch on the ground and point it to the direction of action;

(e) Build a big stone heap with small stones, and put a small stone on the side to point to the direction of action;

(f) Use an arrow shaped groove deep in the trunk to indicate the direction of action;

(g) Two crossed sticks or stones mean that the road is blocked;

(h) The signal conveyed by three rocks, sticks or stagnant bushes has obvious meaning, indicating danger or emergency.
