I walked quickly in the street, and the city came face to face with endless scenery. I can see everything in the scenery, they are familiar things. They are changing themselves endlessly in my eyes, occupying new geographical and psychological positions. No boundary is constant and definite, and the horizon does not exist. They slide from the center of my eyes to the sides of my corners. They have entered the final stage of transformation, with huge size and unclear features. At last they jumped out and disappeared.

Things just appear and disappear. The eyes become capricious and wandering. What is the true appearance of things? Do things have a definite shape? In other words, the existence of things to us is just a look out again and again. In this vision, all things are unfinished, either appearing or disappearing.

Comments of judges

Zheng Zhiyuan strives to extract personal feelings from the numerous and complicated urban scenes. The color contrast, modeling arrangement, and texture density of objects form an image structure that connects, echoes, and constantly circulates and grows. All the details of the picture build a new plane order. "Seeing" becomes pure and quiet, which is unique in the field of urban photography in China. —— Jiang Wei
