Recently in Weizler, Germany. Leica released three newly designed Leica M lenses: Leica APO-Summicron-M 50 mm f/2 ASPH, Leica Summaron-M 28 mm f/5.6 and Leica Summilux-M 28 mm f/1.4 ASPH. These three special version lenses have unique design and are sold in limited quantities. The performance and technical specifications of these three lenses are the same as those of the same series.

The new black chrome plated Leica APO-Summicron-M 50 f/2 ASPH. standard lens uses a representative wide tooth focusing ring, which is reminiscent of the classic Summicron 50 mm f/2 (II) lens produced in 1956. The mirror barrel part is made of brass, and the focus scale of the lens and the distance scale in feet are marked in red. This classic lens set is also equipped with a retro style round brass hood engraved with the words "Made in Germany" and a mirror cover made of solid brass. Leica APO-Summicron-M 50mm f/2 ASPH. Black chrome version will be available on February 21.

 

Leica Summaron-M 28 mm f/5.6 matte black version. This is a classic Leica M lens. Summaron-M series lens is based on the threaded bayonet lens produced in the Weizleleiz factory from 1955 to 1963. The length of the lens body is less than 2cm. This compact wide-angle lens is the smallest in the M system product portfolio. This lens uses a special wear-resistant coating, which is roughly the same appearance as the classic black chrome plate. Another feature of the new lens is that the aperture scale can be seen from the front and marked in red. Leica SUMMARON-M 28 f/5.6 matte black version will be launched on February 28, with a global limited release of 500 sets.

 

The third Summilux-M 28 mm f/1.4 ASPH. silver version provides users with silver M system cameras with a new high-performance lens that matches the color of the camera body. This high-speed wide-angle lens is an ideal companion for news photography. It can provide impressive imaging performance under any light conditions. This new color lens will be launched on February 28, with a global limit of 300 sets.
