1. Reinforcing mesh on highway cement Application of Concrete Pavement Engineering
The smaller diameter and larger spacing of reinforcement mesh for reinforced concrete pavement shall comply with the provisions of the current industry standard Design Specification for Highway Cement Concrete Pavement JTG D40. When cold rolled ribbed bars are used, the diameter of the bars shall not be less than 8mm, the spacing between longitudinal bars shall not be greater than 200mm, and the spacing between transverse bars shall not be greater than 300mm. The longitudinal and transverse reinforcement of the welded fabric should use the same diameter, and the thickness of the protective layer of the reinforcement should not be less than 50 mm. The welded fabric used for reinforcement of reinforced concrete pavement can be executed according to the relevant provisions of the welded fabric used for reinforced concrete pavement.
(1) When the dowel bar cannot be set in the expansion joint connecting the concrete pavement and the fixed structure, double-layer reinforcement mesh can be configured in the end of the plate adjacent to the structure; Or gradually increase the plate thickness by 20% within the length of about 6-10 times the plate thickness.
(2) The concrete pavement is connected with the bridge. When the bridge head is equipped with an approach slab, a 6-10mm long reinforced concrete transition slab shall be set between the approach slab and the concrete surface slab. When the bridge is oblique, the acute corner of the reinforced concrete slab shall be reinforced with steel mesh.
(3) When there is a box structure transversely crossing under the concrete surface course, and the distance from the top surface to the bottom surface of the surface course is less than 400mm or embedded in the base course, double-layer reinforcement mesh shall be arranged in the concrete surface course at the top width and both sides of the structure, and the upper and lower reinforcement meshes shall be 1/4 to 1/3 thick from the top and bottom surface of the surface course.
There is a circular tubular structure transversely crossing under the concrete surface layer, and when the distance from the top surface to the bottom surface of the surface layer is less than 1200mm, a single layer of reinforcement mesh shall be arranged on both sides of the structure in the concrete surface layer, and the reinforcement mesh shall be located at the 1/4 - 1/3 thickness from the top surface of the surface layer.

2. Application of reinforcement mesh in bridge engineering
It is mainly used for deck pavement of municipal bridges and highway bridges, old deck reconstruction, pier crack prevention, etc. Through the quality acceptance of thousands of bridge application projects in China, it is shown that the quality of bridge deck pavement is significantly improved by the use of welded mesh, the qualification rate of the thickness of the protective layer is more than 97%, the flatness of the bridge deck is improved, the bridge deck is almost crack free, the paving speed is increased by more than 50%, and the cost of bridge deck pavement is reduced by about 10%. Welded mesh or prefabricated cold-rolled ribbed mesh reinforcement shall be used for the reinforcement mesh of bridge deck pavement, and binding mesh reinforcement shall not be used. The diameter and spacing of reinforcement mesh for bridge deck pavement shall be determined according to the bridge structure form and load grade. The spacing of reinforcement mesh can be 100-200mm, and its diameter should be 6-100mm. The longitudinal and transverse spacing of the reinforcement mesh should be equal, and the thickness of the protective layer between the welded mesh and the top surface should not be less than 20mm.
3. Application of steel mesh in tunnel lining
According to the national standard Code for Design of Highway Tunnels JTGD70-2004.
Ribbed reinforcement mesh shall be set in shotcrete, which is conducive to improving the shear and bending strength of shotcrete, improving the punching and bending resistance of concrete, improving the integrity of shotcrete, reducing the shrinkage cracks of shotcrete and preventing local falling. The mesh of reinforcement mesh shall be arranged in a rectangle, and the spacing of reinforcement mesh shall be 150~300mm. The combination of 150mm × 150mm, 200mm × 200mm, 200mm × 250mm, 250mm × 300mm and 300mm × 300mm can be adopted. The overlapping length of reinforcement mesh shall not be less than 30d (d is the diameter of reinforcement).
The thickness of shotcrete protective layer of reinforcement mesh shall not be less than 20mm. When double-layer reinforcement mesh is used, the spacing between two layers of reinforcement mesh shall not be less than 60mm.
