Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, September 21 - Financial observation: an important driving force for future global innovation - the international community is optimistic about China's innovation prospects

The 12th Summer Davos Forum recently ended in Tianjin. In three days, Chinese innovation elements were flexible throughout the venue layout, meeting schedule and theme exchange activities, and Chinese innovation achievements were praised by guests from all over the world. The international community fully recognizes China's achievements in innovation and generally believes that China will become an important driving force for future global innovation.

"I can plan my time more accurately and exercise when there is no traffic jam," Miguel, a Mexican white-collar worker who rides a Mobike to work, told reporters. The Mobike "landing" in Mexico City has greatly alleviated the commute pain of local office workers.

This is just a microcosm of China's innovation influence. In the social atmosphere of mass entrepreneurship and innovation, people's willingness and awareness of innovation is an important driving force for China's innovation to enter the world stage.

David Ekman, Executive Director of the World Economic Forum and Chief Representative of Greater China, who has lived in China for three years, has deep feelings for China's innovation. He said that the willingness and ability of the young generation of China to learn and adapt to innovation is impressive, and this willingness and ability will continue to speed up China's innovation.

Wei Jiehong, partner and managing director of Boston Consulting Company, who has lived in Shanghai for many years, sighed that scanning the code has become the "standard configuration" of life in China. The change of habits has brought strong momentum to the development of the new economy, and China's innovation speed and awareness have taken the lead in the world.

Since 2007, the World Economic Forum has held the Summer Davos Forum in China every year. During this year's conference, the Fourth Industrial Revolution China Center of the World Economic Forum was officially launched, focusing on nine fields, including artificial intelligence and machine learning, data policy, and digital trade. In this regard, Ekman said that China has a unique innovation concept and mechanism, and the benign interaction between the government and technology enterprises will help to improve the practical application of innovative technology.

"China's position in the fourth industrial revolution is very important. Chinese innovation has had a wide impact in the world. Without China's participation (innovation), Ferrari would be like a Ferrari without an engine." Murat Semez, head of the Fourth Industrial Revolution Center of the World Economic Forum, sighed.

He said that no country can meet the challenges alone. The establishment of the China Center is to provide global decision-makers, enterprise executives, technical experts and other important stakeholders with a Chinese perspective and a Chinese framework to solve problems, and to build a dialogue platform for exchange, learning, cooperation and sharing.

Zhao Weilin, a senior researcher at the Fujitsu Institute of Economics, said that in recent years, thanks to the support of policies and systems, the strength of research institutions, and a positive and tolerant attitude towards innovation and entrepreneurship, China's innovation ecosystem has been constantly improved.

The excellent innovation ecology and innovation system "escort" have enabled China to constantly make breakthroughs in new technologies, and new business forms and models such as mobile payment and e-commerce have been recognized by the world. "Three years ago, I couldn't believe that mobile payment could overturn the business model in China, but now it has really happened," Ekman said.

Wei Jiehong said that e-commerce has greatly improved the efficiency of China's economy, which provides a model for future world economic development. With the development of technology, the huge market network that used to take several years to build can now be built in a very short time.

Thomas Norting, President of the Board of Directors of the German Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, praised that Chinese enterprises are extremely innovative, especially in the Internet of Things, mobile payment, digitalization and other aspects.

Klaus Schwab, founder and executive chairman of the World Economic Forum, said that China had begun to play a leading role in the fourth industrial revolution, and through this role, it helped the world share the dividends of the fourth industrial revolution.
