(Jakarta Asian Games) Asian Games Chinese Women's Volleyball Team Wins Two Successive Wins and Is Ready to Fight Hard Against South Korea

BEIJING, JAKARTA, August 21 (Reporter Yue Chuan) In the second round of the group match, the Chinese women's volleyball team defeated the Chinese Taipei team 3-0, ushering in two consecutive victories at the Asian Games. Coach Lang Ping revealed that Zeng Chunlei and Gong Xiangyu, the two attendants in the team, were unwell and would be ready for a tough fight against the South Korean team in the next round.

At the Jakarta Asian Games, the women's volleyball team is still the vanguard of the Chinese legion to strive for good results in the "three big balls". In the first group match with Vietnam, several players of China's team, including Zhu Ting, made their debut in the Asian Games, and finally made a good start in three straight sets.

The first team of the Chinese women's volleyball team includes several Olympic champions. There is a big gap between the two teams in terms of overall strength. As the coach Lang Ping said, the Chinese women's volleyball team focused on adjustment and training.

As expected before the game, the Chinese women's volleyball team firmly controlled the situation from the beginning, and won the first game at 25:10 in just 21 minutes. Starting from the second half of the first game, the coach Lang Ping changed the lineup significantly. A total of 12 players of the women's volleyball team went on the field in this service, fully achieving the purpose of training.

After the first game, the Chinese team went down two more cities with the same score of 25:14, thus defeating the Chinese Taipei team in three straight sets, ushering in two consecutive wins. Yuan Xinyue contributed the highest 12 points of the game. Lang Ping thought that the team in this game was better than the first game in the rhythm of the first pass.

The Chinese women's volleyball team, which has not lost a game in two group matches, will welcome the third opponent of the Asian Games, South Korea, on the 23rd. Lang Ping said that the team is ready to fight hard.

At the Incheon Asian Games four years ago, the Chinese women's volleyball team, which hid many main players in preparation for the World Championships, lost to the host Korean team in the final and won the runner up. Therefore, for the Chinese women's volleyball team, this is also the "revenge" battle in the Asian Games.

The last time the two teams met was in Ningbo, the World Women's Volleyball League. The Chinese women's volleyball team without Zhu Ting lost 0-3 to the South Korean team led by Jin Ruojing. Zhu Ting returned to the team in this battle. The battle between the world's two main attacks is also a highlight of the game. Lang Ping had kept Zhu Ting on the court in the previous two group matches. She had expressed her hope that Zhu Ting would adapt to the environment and the field more and take on the offensive responsibility in the subsequent hard fight.

Looking forward to the upcoming strong dialogue, Lang Ping admitted that it was difficult to say everything before the game. She stressed that the Chinese women's volleyball team should still be based on its own level and be prepared to play at a high level.

One disadvantage for the Chinese team is that Zeng Chunlei and Gong Xiangyu are not well, and Yang Fangxu, who was injured before the start of the Asian Games, is worried about the position of the Chinese women's volleyball team. Fortunately, Lang Ping said that the two should be able to catch up with the tough battle: "Today, the two receptionists are not in good health, but they have been persevering. There are still two days left (to the next game), and I think they should be able to recover physically. To fight with South Korea, we still need to prepare for the tough battle." (End)
