After the ground parking lot of the terminal is closed, the airport suggests parking in P1, P2 and P5 parking lots.

The ground parking lot in front of the airport terminal was closed yesterday due to the needs of the third phase construction of the airport. After closing in the morning, the main road to Hangzhou Airport - Airport Avenue gradually became congested. In the afternoon, due to the traffic jam at the airport gate, the originally closed ground parking lot was temporarily opened for a while, easing the congestion. By the time of writing in the evening, the traffic on Airport Avenue had returned to normal.

Although the news that the ground parking lot of the airport terminal was closed was announced a few days ago, many people still drove to the terminal without knowing it. What is more unexpected is that the closure of a parking lot will affect the passage of the main road of the airport.

　 The original six or seven minute drive took half an hour

At about 11:30 yesterday afternoon, a reporter from Qianbao drove onto the airport expressway. When the car leaves the airport toll station, a warning sign has been hung above it: "The airport is expanded, and the parking lot in front of the building is closed, please drive according to the indicated lane". Then the navigation suddenly reminds that there is a 1.5km slow traffic ahead.

Where is the 1.5km?

When you get off the airport expressway, you will find Airport Avenue, which is also the only major channel for most vehicles to enter the terminal. Due to the construction needs of the airport phase III project, taxis, online car hailing, private cars, airport buses, and parking lot ferries all need to take this road.

Just when the reporter from Qian Bao came to the first intersection - Hang'an intersection of Airport Avenue, the speed slowed down. From a distance, the team in front could not see the end.

After passing the intersection of Hang'an Road, Airport Avenue, the new P5 parking lot of the airport is on the right, with 600 parking spaces, but there are not many vehicles going to park. It is estimated that only more than 100 vehicles will park here. Most vehicles continue to move towards the terminal.

Starting from Hang'an Road, Airport Avenue, the four lanes are full of cars. Everyone started and stopped, and some impatient drivers changed lanes and stopped. The reporter saw that the two cars in the lane next to the bus were chasing each other in slow motion, which further aggravated the congestion.

It took about 10 minutes to move to the next intersection Hangjing Road, Airport Avenue. The intersection is also very congested. The traffic light has not been turned on, and the straight road has become a red light again.

Stop at the intersection and you can see the airport terminal 1000 meters away, but you can only move slowly.

This trip was only six or seven minutes away, and the reporter drove for more than half an hour.

Some people are glad to start early, and some people simply abandon their cars and walk

As soon as we got to the terminal, according to the signs, some of the cars got on the viaduct on the right side of the departure floor, and some of the cars walked along the lane blocked on the left side of the ground to enter the underground parking garage.

Entering the underground parking garage requires explosion-proof inspection, and the queue is also very long. The middle of the ground was originally the access to the ground parking lot, but the parking lot was closed yesterday, and was blocked here.

Five or six staff members of the airport are here to command and divert vehicles. "Now is not the time for the most cars. It will reach a peak at 2 pm," the traffic police on the scene told reporters.

On the departure floor of the second floor, the reporter saw many arriving passengers waiting here for the vehicles to be picked up.

The car kept driving from the ground to the elevated floor, and soon the elevated floor began to block. "Today, there are many more cars here (starting from the elevated floor) than before," said a traffic policeman on duty at the scene.

In the traffic flow, the reporter saw four passengers walking towards the terminal building: "We rushed to Guangdong and knew that there was a traffic jam, so we parked outside the parking lot and walked in."

Many drivers said they didn't know that the ground parking lot in front of the airport terminal was closed before they drove in.

Mr. Zhang, his wife and children will fly to Guizhou at 3:30 that afternoon. The family drove them to the terminal building. Seeing the traffic jam, they didn't drive to the starting floor of the second floor and planned to drive into the underground garage of the terminal building.

There was a long queue to accept the explosion-proof test. Mr. Zhang said, "Fortunately, I came out early today in time."

Leave enough time for public transportation

If you still want to drive to the airport to take a plane, where do you park your car?

After the ground parking lot is closed, the underground garage has become the most convenient parking place. After the self driving vehicle is subject to the explosion-proof test, it is driven into the basement, and the personnel can take the elevator to the terminal directly. However, the charges for underground garages are relatively high, 10 yuan per hour, and the maximum within 24 hours is 120 yuan/day. It should be noted that underground garages are easy to be saturated. At 2:00 pm yesterday, there were only more than 160 underground garages with 800 parking spaces left.

Now it is still during the Spring Festival, the passenger flow of Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport is still relatively large. It is recommended that self driving passengers enter the airport and go directly to P1, P2 and P5 parking lots according to the signs and signs along Airport Avenue or navigation.

P1 and P2 are located in the north of Airport Avenue, with 850 parking spaces; P5 parking lot is located in the south of Airport Avenue and can provide 600 parking spaces. The parking fee for these parking lots is 6 yuan per hour, and the maximum is 50 yuan per day within 24 hours.

There is a free shuttle bus between the parking lot and the terminal, which runs every 10 minutes, and the number of trains will be increased during peak hours.

However, according to the traffic conditions yesterday, all vehicles entering the terminal are likely to encounter congestion, so citizens who are going to Xiaoshan Airport to catch a plane in the near future should leave enough time.

Hangzhou Airport Phase III Project has a huge volume and tight construction period, so the construction has a certain impact on ground traffic. Hangzhou Airport hopes that passengers can understand and support it, and suggests that everyone try to choose public transportation.
