Yangshuo County, Guangxi, takes advantage of cultural "soft power" to make poverty alleviation "hard work"

Since carrying out poverty alleviation, Yangshuo County, Guangxi, has adhered to the working idea of "supporting the aspirations before poverty alleviation, and supporting the intellect before poverty alleviation", giving full play to the role of cultural "soft power", and promoting the deepening of cultural poverty alleviation activities. Recently, the reporter learned from Yangshuo County that since the cultural poverty alleviation activities were carried out in 2017, the county has carried out more than 600 cultural activities in 472 villages of 114 villages in the county, benefiting more than 80000 people. Eleven of the 23 poverty-stricken villages in the county have been lifted out of poverty. This year, 10 villages will reach the standard of removing the hat.

In order to build a cultural front and create a new stage for poverty alleviation, Yangshuo County raised more than 5 million yuan from 2016 to 2017, and completed the construction of 11 public cultural service centers in poor villages according to the "six one" standard of one complex building, one basketball court, one art stage, one public toilet, one basketball team, and one art team; In 2018, another 7 million yuan will be invested to build 9 public cultural service centers in poor villages, so that the cultural public service facilities in 23 poor villages in the county will be fully covered, realizing that people in poor villages have a room to read and a platform to watch plays, and consolidating the position of poverty alleviation.
