The meeting decided to appoint Li Yu as Vice Mayor of Shantou Municipal People's Government. Zheng Tongsheng, acting director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, issued a letter of appointment to Li Yu and presided over the constitutional oath ceremony.
The meeting listened to Du Huaidan, Chairman of the Credentials Committee of the Standing Committee of the 14th Municipal People's Congress, who wrote the "Report of the Credentials Committee of Representatives of the Standing Committee of the 14th Shantou Municipal People's Congress on the Credentials of Individual Representatives" and his explanation, and voted to adopt the draft report.
The meeting also carried out a special inquiry on the pollution control work of Lianjiang River in our city. The meeting proposed that we should face up to the problems and difficulties existing in the pollution control work of Lianjiang River, improve the legal procedures, implement the collective decision-making, accelerate the project progress on the premise of ensuring the project quality, strengthen the fight against pollution and illegal petitions in accordance with the law, firmly fight a long war, and steadily advance until the water of Lianjiang River is clear again.
