Xi Jinping stressed that it is of special significance for us to plan development cooperation together on the same ship under the situation of surging world economy and prominent risks and challenges. Xi Jinping pointed out that the birth and development of APEC conformed to the historical trend of openness and integration, the strong desire of the Asia Pacific region to seek development, and the common needs of people of all countries to work together to meet challenges. Today's Asia Pacific is the world's most dynamic and potential economic sector, and it is also recognized as an important engine of world economic growth.

Xi Jinping stressed that today's world is in a period of great development, change and adjustment. The tide of economic globalization is rolling forward, but protectionism and unilateralism have cast a shadow on world economic growth. New scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation are poised, but the transformation of new and old growth drivers has not yet been completed. Fourth, adhere to the innovation orientation and open up the source of growth.
