General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out that "we should adhere to the combination of the basic principles of Marxism with China's specific reality, and with China's excellent traditional culture, and deeply explore the laws of Chinese style modernization". Marxism believes that the development of human society follows objective laws, which can be divided into universal laws and special laws. Chinese style modernization conforms to the development trend of world modernization. It not only has the common characteristics of modernization in all countries, but also has Chinese characteristics based on its own national conditions, reflecting the dialectical unity of universal laws and special laws.
Modernization is a main line of the development of world history since modern times, and an important symbol and common vision of the progress of human civilization. Chinese style modernization is promoted and expanded in the trend of world modernization, in the context of the rapid development of modern industrial civilization, in the historical trend of the continuous development of the world market and the in-depth promotion of economic globalization. It conforms to the historical process of mankind's bid farewell to the traditional mode of production and moving towards a new mode of production initiated by the industrial revolution. In the process of exploring modernization, our party conforms to the development law of human society, treats western modernization rationally, absorbs and draws on the advanced civilization achievements it has created, summarizes and applies the general experience and development law objectively formed in modernization construction, such as industrialization, informatization, urbanization, etc., and strives to explore the modernization path suitable for China's national conditions.
Modernization originated in the West, but there is more than one road to modernization. The diversity of historical conditions determines the diversity of development paths that countries choose. Chinese style modernization is a modernization path that the Party unites and leads the people to explore based on China's national conditions and Chinese culture. As the leading and driving force of modernization, the values, leadership, governance ability, spiritual outlook and will quality of political parties are directly related to the future and destiny of national modernization. Chinese style modernization is the socialist modernization led by the Communist Party of China. Whether it is the establishment of modernization value position, the setting of modernization goals, the design of modernization steps, or the choice of modernization path, the grasp of modernization priorities, and the promotion of modernization practice, it is all carried out under the leadership of the Party. This is the fundamental reason for the Chinese style modernization to adhere to the socialist direction and the people as the center, and it is also the fundamental reason for the success of the Chinese style modernization.
At the beginning of the founding of New China, our Party began to formulate and implement a five-year plan, making strategic plans and arrangements for major national construction projects and distribution of productive forces, and gradually forming the goal of "four modernizations". After the reform and opening up, our party put forward the strategic goal of "three steps" in socialist modernization. The 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) grasped the new historical orientation, complied with the new characteristics of the times, and made a new strategic arrangement to build a socialist modern power in an all-round way "in two steps". In different historical periods, our Party has formulated and adjusted phased goals according to the actual situation, not only maintaining a certain degree of continuity and stability, but also actively adapting to the development and changes of the situation, and promoting the continuous development of socialist modernization. The practice and achievements of Chinese style modernization have interpreted the ruling law of the Communist Party from the aspects of adhering to the Party's overall leadership over Chinese style modernization.
Chinese style modernization is socialist modernization, which is unique and different from western capitalism. Western modernization is based on the primitive accumulation of foreign colonial plunder and domestic exploitation of the people, and is developed under the logic of capital. Chinese style modernization has always adhered to the goal and direction of socialism, embodied the basic principles and lofty pursuit of scientific socialism, and has many important characteristics. We adhere to the people as the center and the goal of promoting the common prosperity of all people. We should not only promote the comprehensive enrichment of things and constantly deepen the material foundation of modernization, but also promote the comprehensive development of people, constantly meet the spiritual needs of the people and enrich the spiritual world of the people; We should not only create higher efficiency than capitalism, but also effectively safeguard social fairness, so as to better balance, promote and unify efficiency and fairness; While committed to achieving its own development, it will help the world and benefit the world, promote the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind, and contribute to common development; wait. Chinese style modernization has transcended the limitations of capitalist modernization, promoted and expanded the theory and practice of socialist modernization, and embodied the dialectical unity of the theoretical logic of scientific socialism and the historical logic of China's social development.
Chinese style modernization is based on China's national conditions, conforms to China's reality, conforms to the trend of the times, conforms to the universal law of world modernization development, and follows the special law of socialist modernization development with Chinese characteristics, reflecting the organic unity of regularity and purposiveness.
