According to the consumer price survey and monitoring conducted by the Jiaxing Survey Team of the National Bureau of Statistics, the CPI in Jiaxing urban area rose 1.9% year on year in December last year. The consumer prices of eight categories of goods and services surveyed showed a year-on-year trend of "six increases and two decreases", and a month on month trend of "four increases, one leveling and three decreases". From January to December last year, the consumer price of urban residents in Jiaxing increased by 2.2% year on year.
The "food basket" is lighter

In December of last year, the food price in Jiaxing was uncharacteristically low. According to the statistics of the Jiaxing Survey Team of the National Bureau of Statistics, the price of fresh vegetables dropped by 5.6% over the previous month. Among the 25 types of fresh vegetables monitored, 13 types of prices fell, and the impact of the decline was significant. The first three types of vegetables, radish and lettuce dropped by 24.8%, 19.4% and 19.3%, respectively.
The relevant person of Jiaxing vegetable market said that the number of autumn vegetables on the market had decreased slightly, which led to a small increase in the price of vegetables. However, in December last year, due to the impact of a large number of local vegetables coming on the market, the market supply increased, and the price of vegetables fell.
Because the price of vegetables has declined, it has also directly pulled the main force of CPI increase - the "backward leg" of food prices. In December last year, the year-on-year increase of food prices in our city continued to fall, and the urban food prices rose 1.1% year on year, down from November. Of course, in the food category, there are still some "die hards" who continue to increase prices. Among the surveyed foods, dry and fresh fruits, aquatic products, eggs and poultry meat still rose, up 9.5%, 6.2%, 1.5% and 0.7% year on year respectively.
The price of service items has been falling continuously

Statistics show that in December 2017, the price of service items in Jiaxing urban area fell 0.1% month on month, including 9.7% and 0.5% of the air ticket and travel agency fees respectively. However, affected by the rising labor costs, the prices of housekeeping services, decoration and maintenance fees, beauty salons and baths rose 22.2%, 6.1% and 2.6% month on month respectively.
In addition, the price of industrial products still kept a slight increase, with a month on month increase of 0.5%, among which the price of cement, fuel for vehicles, household sundries and interior decorations rose by 4.4%, 1.7%, 1.5% and 1.3% respectively; The price of vehicles dropped by 1.1%.
