Russian satellite news agency reported on February 20 that the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that all the "Pelesvette" laser systems installed by the Russian army had been trained at the deployment site.

Russian President Putin said in his State of the Union address on February 20, 2019 that the research and development of advanced weapon prototypes and systems mentioned in the 2018 State of the Union address is continuing in a coordinated and orderly manner according to the plan. The President pointed out that these included the "Pioneer" missile, the "Salmat" heavy intercontinental ballistic missile, the "Pelesvette" laser system, the "Poseidon" unmanned submarine and the "Dagger" hypersonic missile.

The Russian Ministry of Defense said in the news: "All the 'Pelesvette' laser systems installed have been trained at the designated deployment site. This system is a new high-tech modern weapon." The Russian Ministry of Defense said that the troops equipped with the "Pelesvette" laser system have received retraining. At present, the officers and soldiers of the installation force are improving their professional skills in practice.
