What diseases are easy to suffer from when you often eat out

According to American media reports, a new study shows that eating an extra meal every week will lead to early stage hypertension The risk of symptoms increases by 6%.

A survey of 501 college students conducted by researchers from Duke National University of Singapore Graduate School of Medicine shows that besides gender, weight and amount of exercise, the number of times of eating out is also related to pre hypertension. This correlation will become more obvious with age.

Prehypertension refers to the stage when the blood pressure is high but has not yet been diagnosed as hypertension, which is more common among young people. From November 2013 to March 2014, three researchers conducted a survey on NUS students aged between 18 and 40 to investigate their daily diet and exercise habits, and measured their height, weight and blood pressure.

The study found that 27.4% of 501 respondents had pre hypertension symptoms, and 2.2% were hypertensive patients. On average, these two groups of people eat out about 12 times a week, while the respondents with normal blood pressure eat out about 9 times a week. The places they often go include school restaurants, restaurants and surrounding stalls. Men are more likely to suffer from prehypertension than women. 50.9% of the surveyed men are prehypertension, while only 9% of women are prehypertension. In addition, lack of exercise, overweight and smokers have a higher probability of pre hypertension symptoms.

The study, published in the American Journal of Hypertension, pointed out that compared with dishes cooked at home, food outside usually contains more salt and fat, and people eat less vegetables and fruits when eating outside, which will lead to high blood pressure.
