In the first half of this year, in the face of the severe test of COVID-19, Xiamen made a concerted effort to promote epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development, accelerate the restoration of economic and social order, better ensure people's livelihood, and maintain a stable income level of residents. According to the data recently released by the Xiamen Survey Team of the National Bureau of Statistics, the per capita disposable income of Xiamen residents in the first half of 2020 was 29770 yuan, an increase of 1.8% over the same period last year. It is worth mentioning that the per capita disposable income of rural residents in Xiamen increased by 3.4%, ranking the second in the province.

The sample survey results show that the per capita disposable income of Xiamen residents in the first half of 2020 is 29770 yuan, an increase of 529 yuan or 1.8% over the same period last year. Of which, wage income was 21666 yuan, up 4.8%; Net property income was 3714 yuan, up 1.8%.

Sampling shows that in the first half of 2020, the per capita disposable income of rural residents in Xiamen was 15582 yuan, an increase of 3.4% over the same period of last year, 0.5 percentage point higher than the provincial average, ranking second in the province. Among them, the per capita wage income of rural residents was 10442 yuan, up 7.1%; Net property income was 818 yuan, up 7.0%.

In the first half of the year, the per capita disposable income of urban residents in Xiamen was 31139 yuan, an increase of 1.5% over the same period last year, which was the same as the provincial average. Among them, the per capita wage income of urban residents was 22749 yuan, up 4.5%; Net property income was 3394 yuan, up 1.4%.

However, it can also be seen from the survey that the living consumption expenditure of residents in the first half of the year decreased compared with previous years due to the impact of the epidemic. In the first half of the year, the per capita living consumption expenditure was 17592 yuan, 880 yuan less than that of the same period last year, down 4.8%. However, compared with the first quarter, the living consumption expenditure of residents showed a steady trend of compensation, and the decline has narrowed by 2.3%.
