It is reported that the "Castle Peak Plan" is the first action plan in the takeaway industry to focus on environmental protection.

According to the "Qingshan Plan", Meituan takeout will explore the sustainable development of the takeout industry from the three levels of waste source reduction, waste recycling and environmental protection and public welfare, including many innovative and practical measures. For example, reusing discarded lunch boxes into bicycle fenders, partnering with 100000 businesses to support environmental protection, setting up a Chief Environmental Protection Officer, and adding the option of "no disposable tableware required" on Meituan takeaway APP.

It can be seen that the ecological environment problem has become a new bottleneck affecting the sustainable development of the takeaway industry. If it cannot be effectively broken through, not only will the healthy and orderly development environment within the takeaway industry be damaged, but also will bring more environmental problems to the society.

Meituan's attempt and exploration of takeout is a good start, showing the society the responsibility and responsibility of an Internet enterprise, which has a positive role in promoting the whole takeout industry and even more relevant industries to pay attention to and participate in environmental protection.

First of all, it is necessary for relevant national departments to carry out in-depth research and survey on the scale of takeout and pollution, and thoroughly understand the distribution consumption and pollution caused by e-commerce logistics, takeout and other industries. On this basis, we will consider the new problem of e-commerce logistics and takeout pollution as a whole, focus on tackling the persistent problems and obstacles in the implementation of the "plastic restriction order", and study and formulate new mandatory policies.

Secondly, we should further rationalize and clarify the regulatory responsibilities. Establish an efficient and smooth regulatory law enforcement mechanism, perfect and improve relevant supporting laws and regulations through tailoring, and truly form a department cooperation regulatory mechanism integrating white pollution control.

Third, we should implement incentive and mandatory two-way measures. For the government, on the one hand, it is necessary to effectively reduce the use of disposable goods in e-commerce, takeaway and other industries; On the other hand, we should support and encourage technology companies to accelerate the research and development of degradable plastics in science and technology, capital, talents, taxes and fees, and help them to develop high-quality, inexpensive and practical degradable plastics or other green products as soon as possible. Through strict market access and control, promote the recycling of waste lunch boxes, improve the recycling model of back-end processing, and achieve the goal of white pollution control. For consumers, it is necessary to improve their awareness of environmental protection and support the use of environmentally friendly lunch boxes and tableware.

For enterprises, the environmental impact of the takeaway industry runs through all links, including product production, transportation, use and waste, and the environmental responsibility should be shared by all entities in the whole industry chain. In addition to strengthening the publicity and guidance of the takeaway platform, encouraging businesses and consumers to choose green consumption and participate in the recycling of tableware, manufacturers can also promote new materials for food packaging that are more environmentally friendly and low-cost by strengthening technology research and development.
