Originality: two dramas focus on reality
The four new plays that have attracted much attention will be presented in two major and two minor forms. The themes of the two original dramas are ancient and modern, so that the audience can see the courage and strength of innovation.
In June, the Beijing People's Art Theatre will be the first to show a new contemporary original play. This work will focus on realistic themes, so that the audience can see the stories around. This big play will be produced among several alternative plays. At present, the most popular one is a work about scientists. In August and the golden autumn, Feng Yuanzheng will use the second original drama of this year to direct again. This classic theme work will focus on the great realistic poet Du Fu, written by the famous screenwriter Guo Qihong, and is another masterpiece of his after the literati trilogy "Son of Heaven", "Li Bai" and "Friend". The script has been polished for five years. After six changes, Guo Qihong wrote Du Fu after Li Bai, fulfilling his long cherished wish.
The new plays in the two small theaters are both foreign dramas, including O'Neill's Beyond the Horizon directed by Wang Ban, and Albutsov's Old Comedy directed by Banzan.
Rearranged: Teahouse returns on Saturday
In the classic repertoire, the comedy "Wet Paint" starts the new year; After the successful celebration of the New Year, the family drama Teahouse returned on February 23. This heirloom of the Beijing People's Art Theatre has experienced generations of audiences and actors, year after year, and has practiced the significance of inheriting classics.
Later, two foreign classics, "Mahjong" and "Doll's House", will be released in April and May. The Beijing opera "Player" and the box office drama "Mutiny" will be staged in August and September respectively. However, the contemporary box office champion "Wotou Guild Hall" after "Teahouse" will appear again on September 27. After ten years of polishing, the classics will always be new. On October 11, the textbook like Thunderstorm will present the charm of classic inheritance.
Among the small theater plays, a number of plays with wide recognition will meet the audience again - Three Comedies of Ding Xilin in the Republic of China, I Love Peach Blossoms, Dinner, Icus, Hypnosis, Contract Marriage, Burning Van Gogh and Her Dying will be staged in turn.
Performance: invited exhibition to re arrange Jewish City
This year, the Beijing Capital Theater has entered its ninth year of invited performances of its boutique plays. This year, four units will be used to show the charm of drama in an all-round way.
