Lemmy is a project implemented by Rust similar to websites such as Reddit, Lobste.rs, Raddle and Hacker News. Users can subscribe to forums, publish links and discussions of interest, like/tap them, and comment on them. Lemmy is based on the Fediverse standard, and all servers can be federated, which means that users registered on one server can subscribe to forums on any other server, and can discuss with users registered elsewhere. Lemmy's goal is to create an easy to self manage, decentralized Reddit and other link aggregator alternatives beyond the company's control and intervention.
