The 7th Lu Xun Literature Award Ceremony was held in the Museum of Modern Chinese Literature yesterday.

The 7th Lu Xun Literature Award was planned from the beginning of this year. On August 11, the jury of each award held the final round of voting, and finally produced 34 works of seven awards. The orientation of these works is outstanding and distinct, and the number of realistic themes has increased significantly. It is reported that since the reform and opening up, especially since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the number of works with realistic themes reflecting the rapid development of the country and the colorful life of the people has increased significantly.

Secondly, the subject matter and content are diverse, the form and means are rich, and they have the courage to explore and innovate in the subject matter, theme and style. The award-winning works have deeply thought and expressed the topics of poverty alleviation, ecological civilization construction, the relationship between man and nature, the rich emotional world of the people, and the living conditions of urban and rural people. Many works have made valuable exploration in art. "Friends - A Chronicle of Xi Jinping's Communication with Jia Dashan", which reflects the sincere friendship between leaders and writers, won the Reportage Prize. Feng Jicai's "Strangers of the World" (full version) became the first short novel to win the Lu Xun Literature Prize. "Complete Poems of Horace" was directly translated by Li Yongyi from Latin, filling the domestic gap, All these reflect the achievements of continuous innovation and breakthrough in contemporary Chinese literature.

It is also noteworthy that the award-winning writers have a reasonable structure. There are not only the famous senior writers like Feng Jicai, but also young writers like Yi Zhou, Shi Yifeng, Li Xiuwen, Li Juan, Ma Jinlian, who are born in the 1970s and 1980s; There are not only "familiar faces" such as Alai who have made remarkable achievements, but also outstanding writers such as Ma Jinlian from Xi Haigu and Yin Xueyun from Jixian County, Tianjin, who have recently emerged from the grassroots.
