Xi Jinping Accepts the Credentials Submitted by the New Ambassadors of Nine Countries to China and Meets with the New Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization

On the 20th, President Xi Jinping accepted the credentials of the new ambassadors of nine countries to China at the Great Hall of the People.

In Beijing in February, the ice and snow melt, and spring returns to the ground. At the north gate of the Great Hall of the People, the ceremonial soldiers line up on both sides of the red carpet. The trumpeter sounded the welcome horn, and the envoys arrived one after another, stepped up to the Beijing Hall, and submitted their credentials to Xi Jinping in turn. Xi Jinping shook hands with them cordially and took group photos with them one by one. The nine new ambassadors to China are: Ambassador Dulan of El Salvador to China, Ambassador Tang Yongsheng of India to China, Ambassador Duerdeyev of Turkmenistan to China, Ambassador Mihelin of Croatia to China, Ambassador Baktegulova of Kyrgyzstan to China, Ambassador Teshome of Ethiopia to China, Ambassador Dai Aimei of Grenada to China, Ambassador Serem of Kenya to China Mauritanian Ambassador to China Mario Villali.

Xi Jinping welcomed envoys from various countries to China to take office, and asked them to convey sincere greetings and good wishes to their leaders and people. Xi Jinping spoke positively of China's good relations with other countries, stressed that China attaches great importance to developing relations with other countries, and is willing to deepen political mutual trust, expand practical cooperation, and better benefit the people of all countries. The Chinese government will facilitate and support the performance of diplomatic envoys from other countries, and hopes that everyone will make positive contributions to promoting the development of bilateral relations.

The envoys conveyed the cordial greetings of their respective leaders to Xi Jinping and extended New Year greetings to the Chinese people. The ambassadors said that since its founding 70 years ago, the People's Republic of China has made remarkable development achievements and played an increasingly important role in international affairs. Countries attach great importance to developing relations with China. They are deeply honored to be a diplomatic envoy to China and are willing to actively commit themselves to enhancing mutual understanding and friendship and promoting mutually beneficial cooperation.

On the same day, Xi Jinping also met with the new Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Norov, and hoped that he would make positive contributions to the development of the SCO.
