According to the provisions of the Regulations of Beijing Municipality on the Protection and Administration of Wildlife, hunting is prohibited throughout the year in Beijing, and hunting wildlife with prohibited tools is suspected of criminal offences. It is reported that Mr. Si and others used forbidden tools such as compound bow and spear to hunt wild boars and other wild animals. From 2021, videos of hunting wild boars and domesticating hunting dogs will be uploaded on our media account. The poachers are so blatant that no one has reported the hunting videos for a long time, which indicates that some netizens still lack awareness of animal protection and the rule of law. In recent years, Beijing has continuously strengthened the construction of nature reserves, formed a system of nature reserves with complete types and wide distribution, effectively protected more than 90% of the national and local key wildlife and habitats in the city, and the species and number of wild animals are increasing. On April 13, the List of Terrestrial Wildlife in Beijing (2024) released by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Landscaping and Greening showed that the number of terrestrial wildlife species in Beijing had increased to 612, 16 more than the number first released in 2021.
