The bright moon is hanging in the sky, and lanterns are playing the Lantern Festival. Since ancient times, the Lantern Festival has been dominated by the lively and festive custom of watching lanterns. Yuanmingyuan has set 28 groups of lantern displays in Qichun Garden, western scenic spots, etc., including Zhengda Guangming Hall and Longteng Shengshi, which are gorgeous, rich and eye-catching.

The Royal Lantern District has 98 special-shaped lanterns full of traditional charm along the line, which restores the grand occasion of the Royal Lantern Festival in the Old Summer Palace. Under the porch, the palace lantern with a frame of fine wood is inlaid with glass and silk yarn, which is elegant and dignified, showing the court style. On the light box, there are festive and auspicious royal greetings such as "Happiness", "Five Blessings", "Prosperity of the National Games", "Good Luck", "Sea and River" to express the good wishes of the New Year. "Eating Yuanxiao at home, coming to the Yuanmingyuan to watch lanterns and guess riddles, the 15th day of the first lunar month of this year is perfect!" Ms. Zhang, a citizen, came with her friends. She stroked the porch with one hand and pointed to the lanterns, which were framed with the bright moon, leaving a beautiful shadow.

The traditional performances of the Royal Lantern Festival are also brilliant. In the western scenic spot, folk flower show teams such as dragon dance, lion dance and stilt dance, which are popular with the masses, parade along the tour line, and people follow the sound of drums to enjoy the festivity of the festival. In Zhengjue Temple, the activity of "Lantern Festival on the 15th day of the first lunar month" was carried out, and traditional elegant music programs such as lotus drum, Peking Opera and guqin were performed.

The lantern display also includes folk custom areas displaying traditional dramas and folk images such as Guan Gong and door gods, northern and southern characteristic areas displaying different cultural styles, and nostalgic areas telling about the great changes in life during the 40 years of reform and opening up, "Son, look up!
