Abstract: The lecture mainly introduces the theoretical origin, main content, development direction and related methods of new economic geography, as well as the applied research results of manufacturing redistribution after the expansion of the Panama Canal.
About the reporter: Xu Hua, associate researcher of the Economic Policy and Development Strategy Research Center of the Water Transport Research Institute of the Ministry of Transport, focuses on the economics of Arctic maritime transport and the application of new economic geography in maritime transport. He is a member of the expert group of the Polar Navigation and Equipment Professional Committee of the Chinese Institute of Navigation, a member of the North Pacific Arctic Research Group (NPARC), and a member of the China Nordic Arctic Cooperation Agency (CNARC).
