The construction industry is a high concentration area of migrant workers. At present, there are more than 45 million migrant workers in the construction industry nationwide. This law popularization activity not only issued a law popularization manual for front-line construction workers, but also invited teachers from the School of Grammar and Law of Beijing Jianzhu University to give lectures on the theme of law popularization, publicizing the policies and measures of the Party and the state on employment and entrepreneurship, children's education, health care, housing security, cultural life, etc., and closely combining the actual work of employees, Understand the laws, regulations and policy knowledge of trade union work and labor security, and improve the ability of workers and migrant workers to understand and apply laws, regulations and policies.
The trade union of China Construction First Engineering Bureau provides legal aid to the majority of workers and migrant workers, and introduces legal ways and means to solve conflicts and disputes such as mediation, arbitration and litigation. Huang Dianlai, the chairman of the trade union of China Construction First Engineering Bureau, introduced to the reporter that in recent years, the trade union of the company has carried out law popularization activities covering nearly 12000 people in seven regions through law lecture halls, legal knowledge contests, and law popularization sitcoms.
It is understood that at the beginning of this year, the National Committee of China Seamen's Construction Trade Union issued an initiative to the National Construction System Trade Union to carry out the publicity campaign of "respecting the law and abiding by the law and building dreams together" to serve migrant workers. At the same time, we will promote trade unions at all levels in the construction system to increase law popularization among migrant workers in the construction industry with the help of social forces, promote the institutionalization and normalization of legal services and legal aid, and guide migrant workers in the construction industry to rationally express their interests in accordance with the law.
Up to now, more than 500 grassroots enterprise trade unions and more than 1000 construction projects in the national construction system have carried out legal publicity campaigns to serve migrant workers, and more than 500000 migrant construction workers have enjoyed legal services such as law popularization lectures and legal aid provided by volunteers.
